Bob Reuter

This past Friday I went to Jenna Bauer's Studio to check out the Bob Reuter photo sale and exhibit. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob when we were involved in the St. Louis Seen & Unseen coffee table book. Not only is he a great photographer, he's a musician and radio show personality for "Bob's Scratchy Records" where he plays actual 45s. He recently had heart surgery, and to help with his hospital bills Jenna produced this show. His photography is gritty and emotionally raw. Exploring the "South City" underbelly of musicians, artists, alleys, and the people that wander in the nightlife. Some of the best documentary photography of St. Louis around. It was good to see him alive & healthy.
It was a pleasure to be able to pick up a couple of his signed prints.

5.2 St. Louis Earthquake

This morning around 4:30 a.m. we were alerted by Milo (our Boston Terrier) that something was wrong. The windows were rattling and shaking. I walked around the house from room to room, thinking it was a storm. Found out shortly after that it was a 5.2 earthquake and was felt in numerous states. Later there was a pretty strong aftershock and it felt like the whole house was tremoring. I've never experienced anything like it. Even stranger is that today is the 102 anniversary of the San Francisco earthquake.

Flame | Cross Movement Records

©David Torrence

Just received this in the mail today — hip hop artist Flame's new
CD, Our World Redeemed on Cross Movement Records. Very cool & laid back guy during our shoot. This guy can flow. CD design by Arkitekture. Here's a couple of my favorites.
