This past Friday I went to Jenna Bauer's Studio to check out the Bob Reuter photo sale and exhibit. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob when we were involved in the St. Louis Seen & Unseen coffee table book. Not only is he a great photographer, he's a musician and radio show personality for "Bob's Scratchy Records" where he plays actual 45s. He recently had heart surgery, and to help with his hospital bills Jenna produced this show. His photography is gritty and emotionally raw. Exploring the "South City" underbelly of musicians, artists, alleys, and the people that wander in the nightlife. Some of the best documentary photography of St. Louis around. It was good to see him alive & healthy.
It was a pleasure to be able to pick up a couple of his signed prints.
