Behind the scenes

Judson Snell in the building. Last minute project with a quick turnaround. Considering the time, sterno, and sharp devices involved-
I'm thankful nobody was hurt.

I recently found a box full of Polaroids from the archives.
It's 35mm slide film exposed onto Polaroid 669.

Milo

A few images of Milo from this past weekend.
He was a real trouper yet in the end he had enough.

Panoramic

© David Torrence

I recently finished a roll of film shot with a Ultronic panorama camera. It is a Goodwill find that has a crappy plastic lens for 80 cents. I like the framing along with the lo-fi effect.

Missing

© David Torrence

How sad is this. It seems someone has lost their cat in my neighborhood. These missing signs are posted everywhere. The thing that I find curious is that in today's world of technology with cheap consumer cameras, cellphone cameras etc. they did not have a picture of "Cooper" and had to rely on sketch artist's skills from memory. So sad. Kind of reminds me of the liger drawings in Napoleon Dynamite.

Location

Things have been productive here at the studio the last few weeks, between jobs for new clients, edits, estimates, bills, promos, and testing. The only toll besides the heat is the challenge to turn a mundane corporate setting into a wonderful image. I enjoy the test of creativity to transform a cubicle or a blah boardroom into an interesting environmental shot. And trust me, it can be a real challenge.

I'm beginning to enjoy my outtakes more than the keepers.
