I just heard the news that Stan Kann was no longer with us. I had the opportunity to photograph Stan in 2005 for a personal project. I saw a documentary on a public access channel and gave him a call to set something up. He was the most gracious and kind person. He opened up his home to me and let me shoot whatever I'd like while he was speaking to Phillis Diller on the phone and scheduling performances. Of course I wanted to shoot him with his vacuum cleaner collection. Even blowing the fuses in his breaker box. His manager along with Stan and myself with flashlights in hand changed the fuse so we could continue the shoot. I am thankful for Stan's warm welcoming and patience. You will be missed.
